Against my better judgement Ill continue...
First off you failed to answer what Dex was quite wrong about.
Secondly you never cleared up what additude it was that is keeping
mortals away from Linux and exactly which immortals are useing it.

What is this truth you keep refering to? Let me in on what the "Linux
Geeks" are preaching to the "regular mortals".
What is this Holy Word? Why hasn't a Linux guru explained to me the
HolyWord?
I cannot imagine that I've been useing Linux for almost 5 years and have
yet to hear this Holy Word of the guru.

Are you suggesting that I am fond of Microsoft , fond of wrath against
Microsoft, fond of proprietary software, or a smile?
Im lost in you blabber. Beside noone asked him to leave he did it on his
own.

I suggest you RTFT before posting. Microsoft has not once been mentioned
in a negative manner in this thread. You are the one throwing gas on the
fire. As a matter of fact I like MS windows, I like it so much I have 2
windows boxes sitting in my kitchen at home. I also like Linux which is
why I run it on my servers and my laptop. You should know something
about someone before posting your widely synthetic generalizations.
As for proprietary software, some of the best software in the world is
closed source. What of it? Well when a programmer goes to reinvent part
of that wheel, or build an atachment for it, he is not as literate as he
would be if the "wheel" were written and the sources to it were open. I
don't think your "mortal" users are worried about programmers and source
code, but literate programmers program fewer bugs which lead to fewer
vulnerabilities which leads to customer/end user/mortal satisfaction. So
the Truth? If you ask this linux geek, I say the truth is more than %50
of the population is below average inteligence. I don't care If they
ever want to use Linux. It's enough explaining to them why they
shouldn't open every exe that hits the inbox. I don't want to start
explaining why they shouldn't work as root, and I believe this is going
to be ignored equaly as patching Microsoft products is by end users.

I think its because they are afraid to learn something new or they
believe they can accomplish more by not straying from the path.
I often hear "It takes too long" or "Its not the same" or "I don't know
how to do anything"
