Sorry, I just realised there was a lot more in your message. It simply goes
away from the question and I'm really too tired to go on with you. My point
and the one made by the original poster is pretty clear. I'm sure it is, at
least, for the author of the book this list is all about.

Regards,

Pablo

Para: 'Seeking Linux annoyances for a book.'
Asunto: RE: [Annoyances] Classic case of why Linux ultimately must fail

(Knock, knock, anybody home McFly???) You must be joking, but anyway:

1. Dex was wrong about the attitude towards someone who clearly feels
insulted by the classic arrogance of Linux gurus and fans (read the subject
and you'll get the feeling). My suggestion is always be kind and if someone
doesn't like you just smile gently and explain yourself or shut up, but
don't tell people to go away, especially in behalf of others or if you don't
own the place. You guys should look around you and see how many people won't
even try Linux because of people like you.

2. If you really want me to explain how and why I'm using the term "mortal",
well, I won't do it. Please attend some literature course. ASAP.

I don't get easily bored by any conversation and I won't quit this list
(even if someone like Dex, you or any other one suggests so), since I'm
having an amusing time reading about another big annoyance with Linux:
conversations like this one (you wont't find them in Windows world,
certainly, and since Mac fans grew up you won't find them there either, not
so frequently at least). Also, I subscribed this list because there's a
fellow wanting to write a book about what's wrong with Linux according to
people's experiences, which I applaud. If you just listen to some Linux fans
you might end up thinking this OS is the answer to all our problems (while
stubborn reality shows quite the opposite, sometimes). He surely has got
some of my opinions now, and that's the whole point of writing here.

Regards.

Pablo
