As a software developer, I would be happy to give you - or anyone else - a very competitive fixed-cost quote, for interface redesign work etc. such as: - Removing or concealing features in a user interface - Removing features from a codebase entirely, to reduce memory/disk usage - Redoing icons, reorganising menus, reorganising configuration dialogs, making configuration dialogs - Making "trouble-free" installers (I won't guarantee them to be trouble-free though, too risky!) etc. etc. on a variety of open source software. Either to your exact specifications, changeable at your request, or designed with feedback from you. Fees payable on completion only if you are completely satisfied. Not all of this work would necessarily require a high degree of skill or expertise and I would bill accordingly, proportional to expected time needed. (Also, I give substantial discounts to not-for-profits and other deserving causes.) I don't know if anyone here will be sufficiently motivated to pay for this - or pool resources with others to pay for this - but, worth a try, eh? -- Robin
