RMS rants a lot, and I understand why. He started out with a muddy
vision, cleared it, started sculpting it and did so publicly... and
people went out with his almost finished sculpture saying it was a
masterpiece. It wasn't done when they took it. :)

He has taken some hits for his personal style. I try to separate the
person from the message. The message is there, and his ranting doesn't
help, I agree. But the beauty of it is that passion cannot be faked. A
cool calm voice can be practiced. Sometimes there needs to be a Voice
from the Wilderness.

I've emailed him a few times, and he's very objective and sensible via
email. Of course, he and I seemed to disagree on a few points (to me)
which I later found out, with reflection, that we agreed upon.
