It depends what you want to do. For some problems, they are the only way to find out what's wrong. Such problems tend to be relatively rare, however, unless you're doing USB hardware design. And face it, the analyzers are not cheap. So if you have a hardware level problem and you badly need to fix it, and finding the answer is worth a lot of money to you, then yes -- the analyzer is definitely worthwhile.
