Use smartmontools to get desired attributes

Dear all,

I am new to smartmontools, and I am learning to use smartmontools to profile the disk attributes for later analyzation.
I have couple of questions that I cannot find from mannual or google. Could anyone give me some hint on this? Any help would be great appreciated.

My questions are:
1. how to print out certain attributes, say I only want attributes with ID# "1,3,5,7"?
2. I run the tool on one WD disk, but it cannot report the attribute "ID# 187 Reported_Uncorrectable_Errors". Does this mean I need to modify the code to print out this information, or there are some options I can use to get this attribute?

Besides, I am reading on paper which says they used smartmontool to sample the disk attributes, but the data set they gave is like "value_1 value_2 value_3 value_4 ...". Can smartmontools provide such format directly? Or I have to first profile the attributes and then re-format the results to the desired format?

Thank you for help!

Thanks!
Best
Junjie
