Re: smart monitoring tools for PMC -Sierra RAID controllers

I have tried the  configuration you  have mentioned . Still I get the same error  with smartd .

[root@localhost etc]# /usr/local/sbin/smartd -q onecheck

Device: /dev/sdf [megaraid_disk_54], is SMART capable. Adding to "monitor" list.
Monitoring 0 ATA and 1 SCSI devices
Device: /dev/sdf [megaraid_disk_54], opened SCSI device
Device: /dev/sdf [megaraid_disk_54], non-SMART asc,ascq: 94,1
Started with '-q onecheck' option. All devices sucessfully checked once.
smartd is exiting (exit status 0)

Try this smartd.conf:

/dev/sdf -d megaraid,54 -a
