Hi Terry, We seem have a number of old messages today. Thanks for you help with this, I managed to recover the key directories, then wiped the server and started again, so all sorted. I used the ide drive to get the server running, then added the scsi back in, then fixed the disk. Backed up the key data, then removed the ide, re-installed the scsi disk, then re-load the o/s. Best wishes Jim ----- Original Message ----- From: "Terry Henderson" <[email protected]> To: "whitebox-users" <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, July 18, 2006 9:55 PM Subject: Re: [WBEL-users] x not starting > On 7/18/06, Multisys, Jim Keable <[email protected]> wrote: >> Hi Terry, >> >> Sorry for my typing mistakes, I'm running KDE, was using df -h. >> >> The is running KDE as an easier interface for the end-user/admin. >> >> I have run fcsk and now my drive appears to be wiped:- >> >> Bad magic number in super-block while trying to re-open >> e2fsck:- io manger magic bad. >> >> Any ideas, I think I'm screwed, was hoping to get the partition working >> and >> off-load the data if that is possible. >> >> Was going to install an ide disk, load whitebox, then try adding the SCSI >> drive to it, what do you think? >> > > That would be fine.
