-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all, | LiveCD is a Gentoo thing, which they have been very adamament and vocal | about us not using, at least from PPC land. There will be no PPC live CD | for this time, at least until I have time to write a new one and get it | tested. Did you take a look at the 'genbootcd' script in the open.datacore.ch repository? If not, I would advice to do so... eventually it could help us for now. It's a prototype, but its able to build bootable CDs and that while adding/upgrading packets according to configured needs in a chrooted environment for the CD. The CD image then gets generated from that extended & upgraded temporary install. Features: - - Automatic addition of arbitrary ebuilds binary files by emerging them in a chroot environment - - Automatic update (emerge -U world) of those packets contained in the pre-image of the CD to the current actual versions - - Automatic addition of ssh keys to that CD - - Automatic installation of configured different kernels (the kernel does not yet get automatically compiled, you have to do that by hand) - - A Ebuild exists for it and can be found on open.datacore.ch under "DataCore's Ebuilds" in the menu. Eventually this script could help us to build a LiveCD for now? Comments?
