hello;

[sorry if this is a duplicate, i'm not getting posts back, so i've
tried resubscribing...]

i am looking at how to get this to work in mcl.

it is not obvious.

the environment issue is resolved. as are implementations for popen,
system-command, and http access.

the problem is that there are at least a few places where the
implementation presumes that (namestring (truename <some pathname>))
will produce a string which conforms to posix syntax.

does it appear appropriate to replace this combination with a single,
implementation specific, function which does the right thing. would
that tactic be adequate for asdf in general?

any other suggestions?
