Unfortunately it wasn't this simple. With these changes the library will
compile just fine, but some of the necessary classes isn't defined (even
opening a display will fail because gdk:display-x11 is missing). I don't
see any easy workaround either, except accessing the symbols missing in
Gentoo or waiting for Gtk+ 2.8 and it's new introspection stuff (which
is still very much vapor ware).
