It's been a few years since I worked on this and, personally, I don't use the object-oriented joins. I wrote enough code to the pass the examples in the CommonSQL documentation. I wouldn't be surprised if there were some inconsistencies in edge cases like you mentioned. > PS. Does item-elt require its own key, in general?
