Hi Alek,

My memory on this is quite rusty. It's been a few years since I worked
on this and, personally, I don't use the object-oriented joins. I
wrote enough code to the pass the examples in the CommonSQL
documentation. I wouldn't be surprised if there were some
inconsistencies in edge cases like you mentioned.

Sorry, I can't answer this without reviewing some code which I don't
currently have the time to do.
