i18n and l10n

does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions regarding the i18n of 
common lisp apps. in particular i'm wondering about the problems 
related to the proper formatting and parsing of dates/times, monetary 
values and the translation of text based on the client's (or the 
client's browser's) locale. has anybody already "solved" this issue  or 
is this one those "figure it out then get back to us" things?
