Re: 'Naïve' indenting in the IDE

Hi John,

I have not been successful getting CCL 2.x to work in XEmacs under 
either ilisp or inferior Lisp. XEmacs 'hangs' for a couple of 
minutes after:

M - x run-ilisp
cormanlisp

Things seem to load just fine, but no keyboard inputs are accepted. 
I can still scroll around the buffer, select menu items etc, just 
not type anything. Then sometimes, after much clicking and random 
key presses, XEmacs begins to function - but 95% of the time I have 
to kill the process completely.

I used XEmacs as it has a really easy Windows type installer -  
exactly like CygWin - that downloads the latest packages from the 
Internet and configures everything with a couple of mouse clicks. 
Pretty much everything comes pre-installed and configured. The 
latest version of iLisp, speedbar, the VisualStudio type 
class/file/function browser etc.

I think, for now, you are stuck using inferior Lisp as Chris 
suggests, and CCL 1.5. The Cookbook really helps in this regard.

I wish the IDE would line up parenthesis when e.g. breaking variable 
definitions over multiple lines in a LET or DO. A function/class 
browser, similar to VisualC++ would be wonderful too. I don't have 
hundreds of lines of Lisp code to go though. But when I browse the 
CCL Lisp/C++ source I do it in VisualC++ because of the 
powerful 'Find' & 'Find in Files' functions. Having the results of a 
search available in a window at the bottom of the IDE is just great.
