  The current Fedora RPMs patch g-wrap-2.0-guile.pc.in, dropping the
  _INSTALLED suffix from those substitutions.  An OpenSuse user
  discovered the same fix, and a similar patch was posted to
  guile-gtk-general last April.

  if you were to patch like this, pkgsrc would at least be in good

Thanks - I added that patch (generated independently, since I seem not
to be on g-wrap-dev) to pkgsrc.

But if 1.9.11 is broken, it's really time for 1.9.11.1 or 1.9.12.
