arglist information

I'm using Allegro 6.2 and ilisp 5.12 under Red Hat Linux 7.3. When I
type the name of a regular lisp function in the *allegro* buffer, I get
the arglist information in the minibuffer (as I expect). If I load a
compiled file and type the name of one of the functions defined there,
I just get "()" as the arglist. If I load in the source then the
arglist *is* printed in the minibuffer. I get the same behavior with
"c-z a" (print arglist). Can anyone tell me how to get the arglist
printed for my own functions even if they are compiled?

Thanks,
Bob
