How to disable pop-ups

Ilisp has this annoying habit of sometimes poping up its own windows
with information. The contents seem to be what is normally printed in
the status bar in emacs. For example it happens when I press space
after having written either LOAD or DISASSEMBLE, the calling
information for respective function is displayed. Does anyone know why
it does this, and how I could change this behaviour, eg getting it to
show the message in the status bar or in another emacs window instead?
