I am trying to get ilisp (have tried 5.12.0 and 20020702 snapshot) working with gcl 2.4.3 using emacs 21.2.1. Here is what happens. I start by visiting a Lisp file. Emacs shows Lisp-mode and *Messages* shows: Loading ilisp-luc...done Loading ilisp-sch...done Loading ilisp-openmcl...done Loading ilisp-ccl...done Running ilisp-load-hook Loading menu interface. 'ilisp-*enable-cl-easy-meny-p*' is t Loading ilisp-cl-easy-menu...done Loading ild...done Loading ilisp-imenu...done but the menu bar remains generic. Then if I try M-x run-ilisp, and I answer the dialect prompt with gcl, the 2nd window appears with normal gcl startup messages, but there are two '>' prompts instead of one. Then I see a watch cursor and emacs freezes-up (has to be killed). I will post the ilisp section of my .emacs if that would help. Would I be better off if I fell back to emacs 20?
