Hi, I am attempting to install lush-0.97.1 on a Pentium PC having Mandrake Linux 8.0. The ./configure command creates the Âscr/MakefileÂ, Âinclude/lushmake.h and Âinclude/lushconf.hÂ. On typing Âmake installÂ, I get the error message: Âmake[1]***No rule to make target Â/usr/include/symcat.hÂ, needed by by Âdldbfd.oÂ. Stop. make[1]: Leaving directory Âusr/local/lush/src make: *** [all] Error 2 This message occurs after Âgcc ÂDHAVE_CONFIG_H**************** -pthread Âc unix.c appears on the terminal console on inputting Âmake installÂ. On reading the file Âconfigure.acÂ, a message indicates that the binutils files cannot be found and suggests that the Âlibbinutils-devel package be installed fm the source CD. HOWEVER, BOTH packages: Âlibbinutils2 v2.10.1.0.2-4mdk and Âlibbinutils2-devel v2.10.1.0.2-4mdk ALREADY EXIST. In fact I even reloaded them from the source CD and got the identical result. Is there a problem with the version of the libbinutils files, because lush-0.97.1 is tested with a later version of the binutils files? Is there any other problem that occurs? Could someone PLEASE help me out with some suggestions. Regards Peter __________________________________________________ Yahoo!
