Ok, sounds good.  What is TestFramework above?  I'm
familiar with JUnit but I think you're referring to a
different library.

Sure.  Old code is in the Schematics CVS at

  /src/libs/web-test/

I have an updated framework, which I will send you a
tarball of offlist (I'm a bit lazy commiting stuff to CVS
as CVS forces me to specific about my directory structure
at a time when I'm still experimenting with organisation). 
The updated framework actually has fewer web testing
functions (custom assertions etc.) as I've been using it
more as a HTTP client.

Anyway, my thoughts for such a library:  There should be
layers of HTTP functions, ranging from really basic GET/PUT
that doesn't follow redirects etc. to more complex
functions that follow redirects, and then really high-level
functions that imitate web browser use cases, such as
"follow link", "submit form" and so on.  Sometimes you want
to test that your application is redirecting as it should
be, sometimes you don't care about the details.

On the assertions side there should be basic things that
check responses (e.g. Did I get a 200 OK?) to more complex
stuff that pulls apart web pages.  With Neil's HtmlPrag and
Kirill's SXPath the latter is fantastically easy.
