An alternative (which I'm not advocating, just pointing out) is to embrace
PLT-specificness - forget about implementation-neutrality (other than
SRFIs), and focus on producing a good Cookbook for PLT.  PLT is one
implementation that can probably field enough contributors from among its
own ranks, and the Cookbook so far seems to demonstrate this.

I do think an implementation-independent cookbook (as opposed to a more
general wiki) will need to be done well to succeed.  For any individual
reader, a cookbook that supports many implementations has the potential to
be confusing, since most people won't care about more than one or two
implementations.  It is also likely to complicate matters for authors &
editors.

As for single-purpose, I think the Cookbook "web" should remain
single-purpose, but it would be simple to set up other areas for more
general Scheme wikiing.
