What Scheme for sxml-tools?

Hello,

in contrast to the SSAX library I couldn't find any documentation how to 
run the various sxml-tools code under different Scheme dialects.
- On which Scheme does sxml-tools rely?
- How could I use it with Scheme48?
- How do the different sxml-tool files depend on each other? I can't see 
any explicit packeging.
