I'm also still here on the list, but I'm at a different job where I'm no longer doing statistics or using XlispStat. I still love lisp and I still admire the XLS graphics system. Although there were always some annoying limitations in the graphics implementation, the basic design was quite nice. If I can find the time to hack, a couple of projects come to mind. 1) revive the attempt to make xlispstat run on top of other lisp implementations, and thus take advantage of some of the compilers and optimizations available. 2) do a modern reimplementation of XLS style graph objects in objective-c along with GL support, and then figure out how to hook them into Lisp, Python, etc. But at the moment, I'm still working my way thru a couple of OSX/Cocoa books. -- Steve Majewski _______________________________________________ Stat-lisp-news mailing list [email protected] http://muskrat.stat.umn.edu/mailman/listinfo/stat-lisp-news
