How to execute an attachment?

I would like to execute an attachment (like a .nfo file) but that 
option is always grayed out.  I've tried to do it wiht attachments on 
the sever, downloaded attachments, in the header pane, the message 
pane, and nothing works.

So how is this supposed to work?
