Yes, that looks like a reasonable compromise. Thanks for the
suggestion. With nothing that I can see in the help file on this,
some things not working and Marcus AWOL, it makes things difficult
for users.

Someone suggested giving one's own threads a high "score" and sorting
on that BUT that doesn't seem to work. 

Lastly, as far as I can see there isn't any way to show what "score"
a newsgroup post has. Perhaps someone here knows how to enable this ?
