We're not planning on an admin login system, probably for a lot of the same reasons as you.  And the security issue that Earl mentions is quite valid, too.  But mostly because we aren't expecting the stylesheets to take up much of our time.  I don't imagine we'll be overwhelmed with stylesheet & image updates.

Yeah, that's a good point, but we don't have much interest in finding ways to charge admins and users for the service The Mail Archive provides.
