Can you send the -log and –debug log files after removing any personal ID info? That might help us understand what is happening

Subject: RE: [Bulk] [blat] Blat.dll error message

Hello Mike,

first of all, thanks for your answer. I have downloaded the files into the shared folder (version 3.23 64 bits) and installed it using the -install parameter. Through the command prompt it works fine, but now even the AX TEST environment fails, when it worked fine with the old version.

Any other idea? Anything that I'm missing on the installation of the client?

Thanks!!

Iván

That is a VERY old version, I’d update before doing further debugging.

Also, are you using 32 bit or 64 bit windows? Blat has both, and can work with both windows versions, , but mixing versions causes problems.

Subject: [Bulk] [blat] Blat.dll error message

Good morning all,

this is my first message in that group, so thanks in advance for any assistance. I have found it on http://www.blat.net I hope someone can help me :)

We are using Blat interfaced with a custom functionality called Output Management (OPM) inside Dynamics AX. Basically, what OPM does is to collect several variables like Subject, Body, sender address, file path, etc., when a user post a document (invoice, confirmation of order, etc) in AX, then send this information to Blat in order to automate the email sending.

Since yesterday we are getting the next error message:

Distributor: SMTP using Blat

Could not open DLL: \\segbgsap235\opm\blat.dll

Object 'DLL' could not be created

Folder '' does not exist

Digging into the blat website and doing some testing, I have found that another dll was missing, msvcr71.dll I have copied this file again in the same folder as blat.exe and blat.dll is located, then I have run blat -install with the server and email address parameters successfully. When I do a test on the command prompt (blat "file" -to "address") it's correctly sent. The most strange thing is that from our AX TEST environment, which points to the same shared folder (so it's using the same dll), it also works fine. Classes and code in AX is exactly the same, and the shared folder permission is open to everyone.

Any idea or tip that could help me? Blat version is 2.6.1

Waiting for your comments. Thanks so much and regards,

Iván
