Hi TurnerJoe,
Your issue is with the email server. When you setup a mail sender such as blat to send emails externally, the mail server needs to authorise the IP address of the sender server to do this and it has to do with stopping spam. Internal emails sent thru the relay are not required to be authorised.
So the old server you had was on internal IP w.x.y.z but the new one you setup is now on a.b.c.d so the mail server does not recognise the new IP as an authorative to send external emails. You thus need to send your mail server team the IP of the new server and ask them to add it to the Relay Whitelist.

Subject: [blat] BLAT + Goldcare
We use Goldcare for record keeping and we have a finance piece that is used to send numbers to different external emails.
We recently did a server migration and this is when the trouble started.
Anyway, inside blat on the newly migrated server, and can send test emails to people inside my environement but can't send to anyone externally.
I get a
The SMTP server does not like the name ******@hotmail.com (test email)
Have you set the To: field correctly. or do you need authorization (-u/-pw)
The SMTP server was -> 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay
It seems like it doesn't want to hit anything on the exchange server. I'm not sure what else to do at this time.
Looking for a solution.
