For a reason unknown to me.. cone seems to be little known and have a relatively small set of users (by the posts on this list). As more users try it, it does help to have unique features which help it differentiate itself from the rest of the other clients. For instance the remote address book and remote configuration are perfect examples of such differentiators. I think supporting multiple SMTP servers would only help in terms off both helping current users, as well as attacking new users.
