Thanks for the quick reply. I will report this to Google.

I notice that Alpine (pine) doesn't exhibit this behavior, maybe they have 
worked around Google's problem somehow though.

An unrelated question that I should probably start a new thread for...how 
can I set my From: name? Currently its ryan,,,
