My problem it excat the same as the others who responded to this post:
In my case I always have to do SMTP-auth in order to send and after that the
From field it checked for a known "local-user".
I know it is a configuration/policy issue but now both my employer and my
isp uses this approach.

Well running against mailfront it seems that it just continues as an
unauthenticated SMTP request (which then is rejected).
If it is a problem with mailfront or cone I'm unable to decide - I cannot
snoop the traffic - it is SSL encrypted.
