I found my way to this list following up a response from Fajar on the clamav list. I'm running Debian, the testing tree, with Exim4-daemon-heavy 4.32-2, clamav 0.70-4, spamassassin 2.63-1. Until clamav was updated several days ago, it worked as advertised. However, the new clamav is showing the behavior that I found discussed on this list on the 10th of the month. The socket being closed was the problem I believe, and was evidently solved by the latest exiscan release. So, I think the new patch will fix my problem, but I gathered from the above-mentioned thread that the extent of the problem was believed to be limited. This is really just a report to state that the issue has been seen with Debian (testing) as well. I appreciate your efforts - the code is a very valuable addition to my server. Brock
