Did Exim perhaps get HUP'd/restarted during that period, thus making your clamd ACL configuration kick in? > All I need to know now is how I can kick > off a notification to the target recepient of the email that had a virus > to let them know we removed the malware. However, if you do send notifications I'd very strongly suggest *not* putting the alleged "sender address" on them, because otherwise your users will start e-mailing the purported senders saying silly things like "why did you send me a virus?" or "please disinfect and resend" which just wastes everyone's time. I suspect when you do that, your users will soon realise the utter pointlessness of receiving notifications! Tim
