Hi, I have observed the following a while ago, when my clamd started playing weird on me: exim would connect to clamd and try sending it something, but there would never be a response [due to clamd being f*ed up]. Now, exim was waiting and waiting for a response. Shortly after I was up to a few hundred exim processes all waiting for clamd to do something. Is there any way to specify a timeout on the clamd control socket? At least then mail delivery would continue, albeit unscanned. johannes
