In fact, you should never send anything for a message, you did not accept. And you should never accept a virus, you should deny it. Informing the "sender" is then the job of the sending mail server, which is the virus code itself most of the time, so no collateral damage will occur. In the few other cases, where the sender is the outgoing mail server, forwarding mail for some customer, it is his decition to inform the sender or nor. Regards, Steffen
