Was the thread 'unrouteable mail'. I answered to Aveleen with some
tests and exim.
This question is more exim4 oriented probably, but I came to exim4
only because of vexim,
so my skills in exim4 debugging are still very low...
I have on the same box websites and vexim.
I recently moved the mail handling away from vexim (and from this
box) for 'symetrie.com',
though keeping the website. When a script in the website sends some
mails, those addresed to this specific domain are not routed, but
instead get the 'Unrouteable address' answer. Of course, host -t MX
symetrie.com on the box gives the new mail servers outside.
In the end of my exim -bt test, I see strange lines :
>>> gethostbyname2 looked up these IP addresses:
>>> name=emi.mail.pas.earthlink.net address=207.217.120.81
>>> host in "emi.mail.pas.earthlink.net"? no (end of list)
What's this site ? is it a standard lookup dns ?
Thanks for helping,
Jean-Christophe Michel
