Vexim badly needs a push from someone to move it forward :)
There are a LOT of really cool things which could be done, but I've had
no time for.
The wiki is unfortunately toast :(
This was completely my fault. I was tinkering with the database, with no
backup. Cest la vie.

There is a lot of the data we had up there, and it's not difficult ot
get, just needs someone to spend an hour doing it :-)
I have the mailing list archives, they're very safe. I hadn't realised
they were broken!
I've fixed the link to here:

There's tons of data in there.
If you have contributions, we should get them. However I think the
project needs a rewrite. I initially wrote it when I was fairly new to
web programming and in a hurry because Qmail sucked and I had to migrate
away from Vpopmail before my server died a horrible death.
With 7 years of experience since then, I can safely say:
1. PHP is not the most appropriate language unless it is done *very*
well.
2. The code is a nightmare - it's hard to maintain and even more
difficult to improve.
3. We need to start with a solid feature / requirement list for the
next version, code to that, and then do proper planning for
subsequent version.
Man, I so wish I had the time to do this, but alone I definitely don't.
With one or two other people involved we could really do something
great. The problem has always been getting two or three other people who
want to do the coding :-)
We have great people who have always been willing to test releases when
they were made, and for that I've always been grateful!
Just remember - at least count we had ~40k mailboxes managed by vexim.
When we do a new version, it has to be done perfectly, and with an
upgrade path for existing users.
