exmh 2.7.0 "lock-up"?

Has anyone noticed that some messages, normally spam, send exmh off 
to download something from the net, maybe an image, and exmh *never* 
responds again.  Any thoughts or suggestions to get a better 
behavior, maybe a time-out, are appreciated.  Thanks....
