Yes. This is what I do since years now:
 - modify a line in /etc/nmh/mts.conf to "masquerade: draft_from"
 - in Mail/components, Mail/replcomps etc, I set the correct "From:"
   field with my real email address (together with the "Reply-To:"
   field).

I had to do that to live in a world where the address was tested
to be valid before a mail could be accepted by some of our mailer
agent (nothing to do with exchange).
