Save/Extract Attachments

I recently got a new computer and it's running FC6, whereas my old one was RH9. 
Everything works on exmh 2.7.2 (I just copied it all over), except for the 
Save/Extract Attachments feature. It saves the attachment, but somehow corrupts 
it so that it's not useful. I've tried to find the difference in the saved file 
and the one I get from just using the Save... on the right mouse click (which 
works fine BTW), but could not spot the difference in an editor. 

Does anyone else have this behaviour?
