OK. I think I know what you're getting hit by now.  Unfortunately, I won't be
able to provide better than a hint at the moment - what gets invoked in most
cases is determined by what's in your /etc/mailcap and ~/.mailcap so if you
don't like what /etc/mailcap is giving you, put a more suitable entry in your
~/.mailcap.

The /etc/mailcap entry you're probably getting bit by is this one:

image/*; gthumb 

and you want to provide a better program in ~/.mailcap (if you have a copy
of the now-ancient 'xv' program, that's a good choice).  Also, you might
try installing the 'tkimg' RPM, that will allow exmh to handle a lot more
image types in-line without an external handler.  If all else fails, look at
the /etc/mailcap and ~/.mailcap on your fc6 box and see what *that* says...

(Speaking of which, *I* need to try tkimg - it's sitting at release 1.4 now,
and I haven't actually tested anything more recent than 1.2.4. But that's
for tomorrow, it's late here...)
