Surely the simple fix is just to rename the exmh lassign function,
and continue using it as it is?
Just because a similar (but different) function is now built in
doesn't mean that we have to use it - if it wasn't for the name clash we
wouldn't even be considering the question.
But to answer your question, NetBSD's pkgsrc (also used on dragonfly,
darwin, solaris, linux, and sometimes on freebsd - probably openbsd as
well) still uses tcl 8.4 (8.4.18).
