Re: Pruning Arhives

One word of warning though...some web archive readers really expect to see 
unbroken sequences of messages in the archive.  This was true of 
ezmlm-www-1.4.1, for example - and possibly the Mail::Ezmlm::Archive perl 
module it uses.

As a result, I ended up writing a little utility to REPLACE the message with a 
simple canned message that explained it had been purged, and by who and when.  
This has the added benefit of not requiring an index rebuild.  It also adds 
traceability in future investigations of "why are messages missing from my 
archives?" questions.
