Encoding ...

   Hi,

I tried to find answer to my question searching the list archive but
without success. So I am posting it here; sorry if similar message is
posted earlier.

We use EZMLM as a mail-list manager for our community news. Members
of our list belong to two groups. They use same language but
different encoding (don't ask me why; long story). So far we solve
that issue by asking our members to create a copy of each message,
convert it into another encoding, append to original post and then
send to list.
But, sometimes person forget to do that so message becomes unreadable
to number of list members (those who do not use same encoding).

We would like to let EZMLM to do the job. We would maintain text file
that lists encoding for each of our list member. Once a new message
arrives it should be translated to another encoding (translation is
exact). Then original or translated message should be sent to
particular list member depending on encoding hi/she uses.

What would be easiest way to tell EZMLM to do that?

If there is no way to do that by current implementation of EZMLM,
could you, please, give me further instruction how to patch EZMLM?
Pointers to source code and little bit of technical (i.e. C language)
explanation would be very appreciated.

Regards,
   Tesvit.
