Your message was top-posted and failed to quote only the relevant portions of
the message you were responding to. Please configure your MUA to quote
correctly, and learn to trim quoted material properly, before sending messages
to mailing lists. If you don't know what this means, read this:
http://www.faqs.org/docs/jargon/T/top-post.html

To learn what "quote correctly" and "trim quoted material" mean, read this:
http://www.netmeister.org/news/learn2quote2.html

If you are using an MS MUA, these free add-on packages can apparently fix
their quoting style for you: http://home.in.tum.de/~jain/software/oe-quotefix/
http://home.in.tum.de/~jain/software/outlook-quotefix/

I've corrected your quoting for this reply.

Actually, no, that's incorrect. You'll find the explanation for why in the
list archives.

Disabling ezmlm's subscription-confirmation feature opens your list up to
subscription abuse; if you did this, anyone could subscribe my address (or
this list address, or the address of any other of the list subscribers) to
your list without my knowledge or permission. It's not in *anybody's*
interest to help you disable a critical security feature in this way.
