Many of ezmlm-idx's programs need to lock the list directory to avoid
race conditions.  Removing the locks will only result in them being
recreated.

Since you are running on NFS mounted files, make sure you have NFS
locking working.  I've seen this happen before, but I don't recall what
the best resolution is.
