IMAP IDLE for several mail accounts

Hi there:

I wanted the setup described here:

But for a small business.

IMAP IDLE is nice. Say that you are on the phone with a customer who 
speaks a broken English, and you carefully spell your e-mail address. 
The customer sends a test e-mail which immediately comes in. You can 
confirm on the same phone call that the e-mail has arrived. 
Unfortunately, on both fetchmail and getmail, IMAP IDLE only works for 
one mailbox.

Is there another way around this IMAP IDLE limitation? I do not really 
want to spawn one fetchmail or getmail process per mailbox. Our mail 
provider has also a limit on how often you can poll for new e-mails.
