For new implementations I would suggest using sieve rather than procmail.
While procmail worked well, it is not really maintained and thus sites have
moved away from it. Sieve is also much more of a standardized mechanism and
shows up in a number of mail products. In my configuration I use getmail to
feed Dovecot (MDA_external to dovecot-lda) which in turn uses sieve to
perform the filtering functions. I am not familiar with the MultiGuesser
you mention below.
