My suggestions are relevant only if Microsoft has implemented XOAUTH2
incorrectly. Or, said more accurately, my suggestions are relevent only
if getmail-gmail-xoauth-tokens and Stefan's documentation turn out not
to support Microsoft's XOAUTH2 authentication.
