This is an open issue here, though, in that it is true only to the
extent nobody configures their IM2000 mail-reading software (MUAs and
recipient notification agents, or RNAs) to locally cache message
contents corresponding to incoming message notifications.

So, anybody who *does* so configure their software *might* see an
IM2000 message store on a hijacked machine as a source of UBM.

But I suspect the stock response to their complaints will be "then
don't do that", or perhaps "then specify tighter criteria for your
MUA/RNA to locally cache incoming message content".
